James "Andy" Anderson

CRYSTAL LAKE—James “Andy” Anderson, 74, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Cary, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his home.
He was born April 22, 1940 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Arlis and Nola (nee Spain) Anderson. Andy married Lorraine Kay Rose on December 17, 1965 in Seward, IL.
Andy retired from Knaack Manufacturing, Crystal Lake, after almost 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; son, Scott Anderson of Crystal Lake; grandsons, Gunnar, Leif, and Hansel Anderson; and siblings, Virginia (Leroy) Brogdon of Mechanicsville, VA and Larry (Kathy) Anderson of Tupelo, MS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David (Bobbi) Anderson.
The visitation will be Monday, August 4, from 4-9 p.m. at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
There will also be visitation Tuesday, August 5, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake, IL, 60014. Entombment will follow at the Windridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Andy’s name may be made to the First Congregational Church, or RE-MEMBER, PO Box 5054, Pine Ridge, SD, 57770, www.re-member.org, or 605-867-2282.
