James Connelly

James "Jim" Connelly, 75, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Valley Hi Nursing Home. Born on May 14, 1949, to Edgar Connelly and Rose Howe, Jim proudly served in the Armed Forces. He had a passion for travel and was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, rarely missing a game.

Jim is survived by his brother Kenneth (Lori) Connelly, his sister Sherry Six, his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Brenda, Shavonne (Leon), Kelsie (Brian), Samantha, Ariel, Darlene, Eddie, Michael, and Herman, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Jim’s life was enriched by the love and care of his two close friends, Ted and his wife.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane; his parents, Edgar and Rose; and his ex-sister-in-law, Patricia Radunz, along with other cherished family members.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date, with interment at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.
