James Duggan

Biography

James had many passions and interests, among them fishing, art, musical instruments, antique cars, and motorcycles. Camping and family vacations were important to him as well.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 1st Calvarly Division and the Big Red.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Delores Ann (nee Verheye), whom he married November 8, 1954; loving children, Keith James Duggan, Cynthia Hoffman, Dan (Mattele) Duggan, and Jimmy Duggan; cherished grandchildren, Patty Duggan, Jasmine Newman, Jared Duggan, Jefferson Duggan, Ben Hoffman, Andrew Hoffman, Aaron Hoffman, Delores Duggan, and Christina (Anthony) Pasitino; five great grandchildren; sister Irene Suchor; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gertrude Duggan, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

Visitation for Jim will be 3-8pm Sunday, June 3 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake and from 10am until the funeral service at 11am Monday, June 4 at the funeral home. Burial in Windridge Memorial Park following the service.
