James Lloyd Lesmeister

Note Updated Service time - visitation from 12 noon until a time of remembrance at 2pm on April 28.

James Lesmeister, 73, of Crystal Lake, Il passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2024 at home in his favorite recliner with a Soduko book on his lap. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Jim enjoyed seeing the country on his Goldstar motorcycle, taking trips with fellow Highroad riders, house projects, reading, family gatherings, card games and helping his dad with yardwork.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemarie Lesmeister and nephew, Bryce Davis.

Jim leaves behind daughters, Sarah Lesmeister and Lacy (Harlen) Johnston; father, Lloyd Lesmeister; sisters, Jean (John) Henderson and Joan (Larry) Davis; and three grandchildren, Lucas, Annabelle and Thaddeus Johnston.

Because Jim’s wish was to donate his body to science, his family is planning a simple memorial service later this spring on April 28th, from 12 pm until a time of remembrances at 2 pm,  at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim’s name to a charity of your choice or because Jim was always willing to lend a hand (His dad called him his “right hand" man), in Jim’s honor please reach out to someone who could use some assistance and give him or her some help.
