James Marquardt

Crystal Lake, Illinois,James "Jim" Marquardt, 49, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in McHenry. Born on July 30 1961 in Chicago, he was the son of Walter Otto Albert and Donna Mae (nee Bodenstab) Marquardt. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and always enjoyed riding his Harley. At all times, he was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Jim was an Eagle Scout and a mentor for the Eagle Scouts. He loved his family and friends and derived great pleasure from the many road trips he took throughout his life. Survivors include his loving wife, Cindy (nee Leonard); son, Anthony "Tony" Marquardt; mother, Donna Mae Marquardt; sister, Denise Marquardt; brother, John Marquardt; mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Leonard; sister-in-law, Candace (the late David Sr.)Leonard; brother-in-law, John (Janine) Leonard, and Jeanne (Ed) Grassel; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his father and father-in-law. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm, Tuesday, March 22 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176), Crystal Lake. The Funeral Service will begin at 10am, Wednesday, March 23 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock.
