James Roberts

JAMES ""JIM"" ALFRED ROBERTS was born in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, July 20 1949 to Alfred and Jean L. (Leekley) Roberts and passed away in Riverside, California Thursday, May 20 2010 at the age of 60 years. Jim grew up in Wilmette, Illinois and graduated from New Trier High School in 1967; he furthered his education and attended Northern Michigan University, graduating with a bachelor degree in 1971. He became a senior buyer planner, working for several aerospace companies which included Howen Dynamics, Meggitt Dynamics and Imperial Aero Dynamics. In his leisure time Jim enjoyed sports of all kinds, golf, sailing, skiing, basketball and tennis; he also had a love for the guitar. Jim was preceded in death by his dear brother Richard Roberts in 1972. He was the loving father of Jason and Jessica Roberts and devoted brother of Tom John, Cathy and Tracey Roberts. The family will greet friends Thursday, May 27 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 West Main Street, Barrington, Illinois 60010 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. for visitation. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Illinois.
