James E. Schuck, 54, of Lake Barrington, was born November 3, 1961 in Elgin to Loretta (née Ziolo) and Clarence Schuck. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Barrington.
James attended Barrington High School, The Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago, and Kendall College Business School. His career as a chef spanned more than 30 years of working at fine restaurants and catering for many clients including the Yellowstone National Park, WWE, and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He always loved riding motorcycles, cooking for his family, and building bonfires. James’ family and friends will always remember him as a great guy with a big heart and a kind soul. His strength and perseverance shone through to the very end. He is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
James is survived by his mother, Loretta Schuck; his siblings, Laurell (Dennis) Moore, Cindy Schuck, Leon Schuck, and Kit (Terri) Schuck; his nieces and nephews, Denny (Alissa), J.R. (Colleen), Kirsten, Tiffany, Matthew (Stephanie), and Taylor; and his great nieces, Keira, Amelia, and Suzanna.
His father, Clarence; and his siblings, Janell and Thomas, precede him in death.
