James Sorensen

James "Jim" E. Sorensen, 81, of Hot Springs, AR, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away January 20, 2013 in Ringwood.

He was born on June 5,1931, to Christ and Catherine Sorensen in Chicago.

Jim, a devoted family man, is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Erlene Sorensen; cherished children, Michael (Linda) Sorensen, Kathryn (Michael) Tissing, Christopher (Jane) Sorensen and Jeffrey (Stacey) Sorensen; dear grandchildren, Daniel Sorensen, Ashley (Bradley) Meyers, Jenna (Brandon) Grasse, Trent Sorensen and Christian Sorensen; and sister, Margaret (the late Harold) Koeppe.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, January 27 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home, Monday, January 28 starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, 520 East Grand Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126 following the service at the funeral home.
