James M. Wouczyna
Of Barrington, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI

James was born September 26, 1946 in Wyandotte, MI to Michael and Helen Wouczyna. He passed away Monday, October 12 in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Jim graduated from the University of MI with a Business Administration degree. He received his Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law from Wayne State University. Jim was retired from the U.S. Attorneys Office in Detroit. He was also retired as a Colonel from the Judge Advocate General’s Corp after 30 years of service.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a fan of his beloved Wolverines.

Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 33 years, Brenda; children, Kelly Ewald, Nicole (Zachary) Pines, and Lindsay (James) Wrubel; grandchildren, Bradley and Henrik; and sister, Michaeline (Phil) Harner. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Friday October 16 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N Ela St, Barrington, where there will be visitation from 10am until the time of the mass. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, following the mass.
