Barrington, Illinois,Jane Bandy, born in St. Louis MO December 1, 1915, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 24, 2010 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington IL. Formerly a resident of St. Louis, Ferguson, St. Charles and Bridgeton she spent all but the last month of her life in the St. Louis area. Jane Bandy was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Bandy, one grandson Robert W. Bandy, her parents James J. O?Malley and Lydia (Hoell) O?Malley, her sisters: Ann Holzhausen, Gertrude Miramonti, Margaret Walsh and her brother James T. O?Malley. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Bandy, her son Philip Bandy and his wife Roberta (Barrington IL), their children Elisabeth Bieber (Jeff), Bryan Bandy (Katrina), Katherine Bandy and Christine Beckett (William), four great grandchildren, and five nieces. Jane Bandy graduated Soldan High School and continued her education at Felt and Tarrant Comptometer School. She lived a full and active life in the St. Louis area working for a number of companies as a comptometer operator including: Robinson Aircraft, Famous and Barr, Emerson Electric, the May company, A&P, Kroger, and Venture. She enjoyed playing golf for decades and was active in local theater, the Sweet Adelines of St. Louis, and Harmony Incorporated in St, Charles. As a barbershop singer she participated in both large choruses and quartets in competitions around the country. Funeral mass will be held July 31, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. and will be officiated over by Father Arthur Althoff at the Veronica Chapel on the Sarah Community Campus in Bridgeton MO. Elisabeth Bieber will sing Shumann?s "Ave Maria" and Marlotte?s "The Lord?s Prayer" and serve as cantor. Interment for Jane Bandy will be at St. Charles Memorial Garden where her husband is buried.
