Janet L. Spears, 84, of Cary passed away February 13, 2017. She was born July 3, 1932 in Chicago.
Janet married Richard Spears on February 6, 1954. They were married for 62 years before his passing in April of 2016. They were the love of each other’s lives, inseparable, and enjoyed their time together. Janet had missed him dearly.
Janet was a homemaker who took enormous pride in her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Laughter was her medicine. Her sense of humor could brighten up your day. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her four-legged companion, Buddy.
Janet is survived by her sons, Daniel (Teresa), Randy (Susan), and Timothy (Ann); grandchildren, Michael (Carlie), Teri, Daniel Jr., Amanda (Chad) Hullinger, A.J., and Lauren; and great grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Jaelyn, Zachary, and Kailyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Mary Zeuli; her husband, Richard; and her oldest son, Ricky.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 19th, from 4 pm until 9 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte.176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue Monday, February 20th, at the funeral home from 9:30 am until a procession to mass at 11 am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
