Janice L. (Schneider) Maher

Janice L. Maher (Schneider) passed away peacefully April 18, 2022 in Lake Bluff, Illinois.  She was born July 12, 1926 in Oak Park, IL to Casper and Frances Schneider.

Janice was a consummate homemaker.  She worked for Wenzel’s Jewelers for many years and enjoyed playing Bridge, flowers, and watching birds.

Janice was predeceased by her husband, Edward of 31 years and her daughter, Mary Frances Vandenbergh (John).  Janice is survived by her children, Michael Maher (Anita), Tim Maher (Debra), Lynn Maher, Scott Maher (Donna); grandchildren, Ryan Bergstrom (Lauren), Aaron Clark, Mallory Janofsky (Lee), Collin Clark, Jonathan Maher (Maisy), Kevin Maher, John Maher (Christie), Greg Clark, Gregory Maher, and Catherine Maher; and great grandchildren, Luke & Claire Bergstrom and Owen and Graham Janofsky.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Barrington, IL with a reception to follow.  There will be visitation at the church beginning at 10am.  Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be directed to the American Cancer Society.
