Jason Dahlmann

Jason Robert Dahlmann was born September 11, 1981 in Libertyville, IL to Robert and Marilyn (nee Bentley) Dahlmann and passed away unexpectedly August 22, 2015 at his home at the age of 33.

Jason was a graduate of Prairie Ridge High School and was attending McHenry County College. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving as Force Recon in the Middle East.

Jason had a dedication and passion to further serve veterans, working in the McHenry County College Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Benefits, and had planned to run for Vice President of the MCC Student Veterans of America chapter. Those who had the good fortune of knowing and working with Jason felt he made an incredible impression on all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jason will be sadly missed by his sister, Nicole (James) Dahlmann-Kurishingal of Oakwood Hills; nephew, Jason Dahlmann-Kurishingal; aunts, Pam (Chris) Johnson and Judy (Scott) Bentley; uncles Virg (Gloria) Dahlmann and Del Holtz, and Hamer (Pauletta) Stepanek; counsins, Tim (Lisa) Arbulu, Billy (Gina) Holtz, Lana Holtz-Arrowood, and Pam (Fran) Beres. Jason will also be dearly missed by his two canine companions, Bear and Brutus.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William and Mabel Dahlmann; maternal grandparents, Warren and Pauline Bentley; and aunt, Vernell Holtz.

The family welcomes friends for visitation on Saturday, August 29, from 4-9 p.m. with a service held at 8:30 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176) Crystal Lake.

Inurnment will be held privately.
