Crystal Lake, Illinois and Denison, Iowa,Jason Frideres, 36 of Crystal Lake, formerly of Denison, IA Jason Frideres passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at his home in Crystal Lake. He was born May 14, 1974 in Algona, IA. Jason graduated from Denison High School in 1992. He attended Northwest Missouri State University. He graduated in 2008 from DMACC with a degree in Mortuary Science. Jason was working as a funeral director at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake, IL. Jason was an exceptional and compassionate Funeral Director and will be sorely missed. He was a diehard Iowa State University Cyclones fan and attended most home games. Jason always brightened a room with his gregarious smile and positive attitude. He is survived by his beloved father Arlo Frideres; loving siblings Chadd (Gwen) Frideres, Amy (Brandon) Meyer of Bolingbrook, and Matthew (Taryn) Frideres of Washington, D.C.; cherished nieces Lilly and Allyssa Meyer and nephews Austin and Owen Frideres; dearest maternal grandmother Viola Hansen of Waterloo, NE and paternal grandfather Clarence Frideres of Algona, IA; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Deborah Frideres nee Hansen, maternal grandfather Lewis Hansen, paternal grandmother Fidelis Frideres, and aunt Vicki Pojar. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27 beginning at 5pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176), Crystal Lake with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 30 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 916 2nd Ave. So., Denison, IA. Interment will follow at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens, Denison, IA. Visitation will from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, August 29 at Huebner Funeral Home, 1437 Broadway, Denison, with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m
