Jason McLeod

Sgt. Jason A. McLeod was killed in action during a mortar attack in Pashmul, Afghanistan on Monday, November 23, 2009.

He was born September 16, 1987 in Elgin to Gregory McLeod and Barb McLeod (nee Hanke). In 2006 he graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School. On July 10, 2007, he was united in marriage to Aimee Rambo. He enjoyed football, hockey, RC cars, and working on cars.

Survivors include his wife, Aimee McLeod; his daughter Jocelyn Elizabeth McLeod; his mother Barb McLeod of Crystal Lake; his father Gregory McLeod of Woodstock; his brother Justin of Crystal Lake and his sister Jacquee of Crystal Lake; his mother-in-law, Julie Ghannam of Cary; brothers-in-law, Andrew Graf and Daniel Escobar both of Cary, his maternal grandmother Marion Hanke; paternal grandparents, Denny & Sandra Williams of Cary; paternal great grandparents Charlie and Mable Kariya of Cary; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.

Interment with full military honors will be in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary IL 60013-1752.
