Jay Laederach

November 3, 1973 — August 7, 2022

Davenport Crystal Lake

James (Jay) Anthony Laederach, aged 48, living in McHenry, IL passed away on August 7th, 2022, from cancer.

Jay was born on November 3, 1973, to John and Charito Laederach and grew up in Streamwood, IL.

Jay was an amazing entrepreneur and started several businesses starting at the age of 19. His most recent venture was Cinemation Inc, with Erik Rodewald. It grew into a successful endeavor over 13 years. He left his children a legacy of hard work, intelligence, creativity, ingenuity, and diligence.

Jay was an avid gardener and collector of various things such as books, movies, and power tools. He was always busy fixing, creating, or inventing. He had a terrific sense of humor, was quick to smile and had an infectious laugh.

In the year 2012, Jay met Jennica. They fell in love and became a family in 2014. They went on to raise three amazing children, Amber (age 10), Jethro (Jet age 6), and Maryjane (MJ age 4) and were wed in marriage in 2020. Jay worked hard to provide for his family, putting their needs before his. His presence was patient and relaxed at home, always loving and mostly silly. He was a strong role model to his children on how a man should carry himself and care for his family. He treated his wife with love and respect. He was the best dad and best husband in the world, adored by his wife and children. He was, is and forever will be deeply loved and missed by them.

Jay was predeceased by his parents, John and Charito Laederach, and is survived by his brother Mark Laederach and his sister Tricia Laederach Pfeifer. Tricia is married to Kurt Pfeifer and they have a daughter named Nina.

We are rejoicing that Jay committed his life to Jesus as his Lord and Savior before his passing and is with Him now in glory.

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV
