Services for Jean Maureen Ziebell, nee Johnston, 73, of Lake Barrington, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6 at the Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend David Barber will officiate. Born May 1, 1936 in Chicago, she went to be with Jesus November 2, 2009 at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington from complications of pneumonia. Visitation is Thursday, November 5 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. She married her high school sweetheart, Donn Ziebell, on August 4, 1956 in Des Plaines. She attended Millikin University. Jean was an active member of the Village Church of Barrington, where she served as the wedding coordinator and sang in the choir. She was a faithful Christian, loving wife, mother & grandma, and enjoyed gardening, reading, working outdoors and spending time with her family. She was the faithful wife of Donn G. Ziebell, loving mother of Terry (Mike) Baker of Lancaster, PA, Tory (Lisa) Ziebell of Bedford, NH, and Jody (Bob) Gustafson of Barrington. She was the beloved grandmother of Lauren, David & Joel Baker, Brittney Ziebell, and Ben, Kenyan, and Sky Gustafson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ione (nee Caukins) Johnston.
