Barrington, Illinois,A private memorial service for Jeanne Louise Low-Potter (nee Swendeman), 83, of Barrington, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 28, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Inurnment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Born May 3, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, she passed away Sunday, October 10 2010 in her home at Sunrise of Barrington. A graduate of University of Michigan and a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Jeanne had worked as a travel agent in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, leading many international tours for various groups. Survivors include her sister, Diane (Val) Ely of Newbern, North Carolina and nephew, David (Diana) Ely and great-nephew, Dylan Ely of Temecula, California. Stepchildren Constance (John) Hoge, Bob Potter III, Sandy Witsman, John (Janet Bennion) Potter, Mary (Dan) Olson-Menzel, and Tricia (Jim) Davis, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Potter, Jr. of Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Low-Potter?s name may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, alz.org, or 800-272-2800.
