Jeanne K. Palko

Jeanne K. Palko, 87, of Wonder Lake, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Woodstock. She was born February 5, 1931 in Rockford to Peter and Helen (nee Kennedy) Priest.

Jeanne worked for Admiral Corporation in McHenry and Harvard for 12 years. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Church in Wonder Lake. She enjoyed her card club for over 50 years. Her favorite pastime was shopping and gardening, specifically tropical plants. Jeanne’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her life.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gerald Palko, whom she married on April 3, 1948; her children, Helen (Chuck) Turner, Debra (Robert) Ungaro, Kelli (Thomas) Lovetere, and Peter (fiancee, Lindsey) Palko; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and her sister, Joanne (the late Robert) Ruefer.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gerald Palko, Jr.; and her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 23, from 9:30am until time of memorial Mass at 10:30am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Rd., Wonder Lake, IL 60097. Inurnment to follow at Christ the King Church Cemetery.
