Jerry B. DeLaurentis

Jerry Bartholomew DeLaurentis Jr., born on February 12, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on his 84th birthday, February 12, 2025. Jerry was a cherished father, grandfather, and community member whose legacy will be remembered by many.

Jerry is survived by his three children: Maria (Mark Till), Dina (Steve Felder), and Jerry DeLaurentis III (Colleen). He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Zachary (Bridget), MacKenzie, Patricia, Chase, Isabella, Giavanna, and Luciana.

Jerry's journey began in Chicago, but he truly made his mark in Island Lake, where he joined his father, Jerry "Johnny" and his brother Salvatore, in business. Together, they opened 3-D Bowl, a cherished local establishment that Jerry owned and managed for 45 years before passing it down to his son. Beyond the bowling alley, Jerry expanded his entrepreneurial spirit by owning several investment properties and other businesses, contributing significantly to the local economy. His dedication to his work and his community earned him respect and admiration. 

In his later years, Jerry retired to Naples, Florida, where he rode his motorcycle and fished. Jerry will be deeply missed far and wide, by his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Visitation will be from 2pm-7pm Sunday February 16 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich. Following the visitation please join the family at Sideouts Sports Tavern, 4018 W. Roberts Road, Island Lake to celebrate Jerry.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am Monday February 17 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich. Entombment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.
