Jerome “Jerry” Orloff
Born January 31, 1930 in Chicago to William and Adele Orloff, passed away August 22, 2013 in Barrington.
Visitation will be 3-7pm Monday, August 26 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Tuesday, August 27 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, with visitation one half hour prior to mass at the church. Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery will be private.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean (nee Pfiffner), son Paul (Golie) Orloff, and daughter Patricia (Bradley) Orloff Erdmann, grandchildren, Elise Anne Orloff and Hayden Orloff Grow, Sabrina Erdmann, and nieces Susan, Laura Jean, and Juliana Burgess.
Jerry was born and raised in Chicago and attended Providence of God grammer school, Tilden High School, and received a degree from Knox College in Galesbury, IL. He met his wife Jean at Knox College, where he was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Jerry was employed by IBM, Texas Instruments, and Motorola, where he retired after 25 years as Corporate Director of Communications and Marketing. He loved golfing, traveling abroad with his wife, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame football, and spending time with his family.
