On Wednesday, April 19, 2017 Jesus called His beloved child, Jessica “Jessie” R. Pittner home. She was born on November 23, 1985 in McHenry.
Jessie graduated from Crystal Lake South High School in 2004. She earned both an Associate in General Education and an Associate in Fine Arts from McHenry County College. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University.
Jessie was very talented and had a passion for all creations of art in many forms; photography, writing, painting, sculpting, and designing beautiful tattoos. She was an avid photographer with the ability to capture the essence of all God’s creations. Jessie had a compassionate heart for children and people with disabilities. Family meant the world to her and she will be painfully missed.
Left behind to cherish her memory are mother, Karen (Jaschke) Pittner; father, Gregory Pittner; sisters, Jennifer Penoyer, Sarah (Jeff) Bell, Stacie Rayappa, Rachel (Rich) Basham, Mary (Franklin Tubbs) Pittner, Ariel Pittner; brother, James (Kristy) Pittner, and baby brother, Asa James Pittner; and her nephews and nieces, Airman First Class Tristan Penoyer, Alexandria and Amira Rayappa, Thomas and Timmy Brunner, Jacob, Joey, and MaKayla Basham, Jacob, Sophie, Jayden (Jones) and Madi Pittner.
Jessie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Violet E. Turek.
A time of visitation will be on Monday, April 24, from 4 pm until 9 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. Jessie’s funeral will be on Tuesday, April 25, at 11 am at the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake, 575 East Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, with a visitation starting at 9 am. Burial will held privately at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
