Jill Ann Robertson Dick, 65, of Inverness, died Monday, September 29, 2014 at home, surrounded by family.
Born on March 21, 1949, to Clair and Betty Robertson in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Jill graduated from Simpson College in 1972 and worked in the Chicago area until she married Lawrence Dick in 1985. For the remainder of her life she dedicated herself to the high calling of raising their two children, overseeing the household and enriching the lives of her friends. Jill was a passionate supporter of her children, family and friends, and she was a wonderful, loving mother and wife. During her last two years, Jill exhibited great strength and perseverance as she bravely fought cancer on a day-to-day basis. Her glistening beauty, both internal and external, was never diminished by this cruel disease. In spite of all the difficulties, Jill never stopped loving the Lord with all her heart. She will be missed terribly by many.
Jill is survived by her husband Lawrence Dick; children, Brian Robertson Dick and Erin Robertson Dick; brother, Scott (JoAnn) Robertson; her mother, Betty Zittel; step children, Renee (Joey) Chitwood, Jennifer (Shawn) Jackson and Jeanine (Dustin) Hancock; step grandchildren, Maria, Nathan, Jacob, Jayden and Brady as well as many Aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clair Robertson.
Her family would like to thank all her friends for their love and support during this difficult time. At Jill's request, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
