Jim Ramsey

James F. Ramsey, Jr., born October 19, 1952 in Marion, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home in Island Lake on Friday, April 8th, 2022 at the age of 69.

Jim was a former news anchor and weatherman for several major metropolitan area news stations in the United States with his longest tenure being at WGN from which he retired in December of 2017.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Ramsey; son, James Ramsey; four stepchildren and many grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Art Ramsey and his beloved dog, Millie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Forrest Ramsey, Sr. and Hilda Ramsey.
