The memorial service for Joan E. Edwards, 61, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, where there will be memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Pastor Paul VanDeBerg will officiate. Inurnment will be at The Episcopal Church of St. James the Less, Northfield.
Born April 1, 1952, in Detroit, MI, to Erma Rosone and the late Loren “Bart” Bartling, she passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at JourneyCare Hospice Home, Barrington.
Joan was a lifelong member of the choir at Lutheran Church of the Atonement and was a 1971 graduate of Kemper Hall, Kenosha.
Joan is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert “Bob” Edwards; daughter, Sarah Edwards; mother, Erma (Manny) Rosone; stepmother, Toni Bartling; siblings, Christine (Arthur) Lane and Rob (Jill) Bartling; niece and nephews, Katie (fiancé Nathan Kimball), Adam, and Matt Bartling; stepbrother, George (Dorothy) Najarian; father and mother-in-law, John and Betty Edwards; and sister-in-law, Linda (Jack) Shubert.
