Joan McGullam

Joan E. McGullam, age 74, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Rockville Centre, New York, retired from the MTA Long Island Bus where she was a driver for 22 years, she moved to Cary, Illinois to be closer to her grandchildren. Joan recently moved to Florida in 2016.
Devoted to her family, Joan loved to cook, entertain, play cards, bowl and play dominos. She enjoyed new adventures and loved life and her family with every inch of her being.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Fred McGullam; her son David (Laura) Dini of Killdeer, Illinois; and her daughter, Lisa (Deb) Di Turi-Dini of New Smyrna Beach; her four grandchildren Frank, Taylor, Gianni and Gabriella Dini of Killdeer, Illinois; a sister, Terry (Charlie) Mc Carthy-Budrewicz of Dover, Delaware; 2 nephews, Scott (Pam) Mc Carthy and Robert (Sarah) Budrewicz; and her niece, Stacy (Chris) Dowd and her great-niece and nephew, Cole and Cassidy Dowd of Garden City, New York.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. July 7, 2016 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until service time, also at the funeral home.
