Joan Nass

Joan Nass (nee Lewis),81, of North Barrington, passed away, November 23,2011, in Barrington.

She was born to Robert and Mary Lewis, in Teaneck, New Jersey, on December 15, 1929.

Joan was a loving wife, wonderful mother,  dear grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to read books and do needlework, including Crewel embroidery.  Joan and Warren in later years enjoyed driving in the countryside; where they would often stop for something to eat.  She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Warren Nass;  children, Michael (Jane) Nass, Steven (Debbie) Nass and Daniel (Jennie) Nass; grandchildren, Jamie (Scott) Hagel, Mary, Sarah and Robert Nass, Daniel Nass, Tyler, Tatum and David Nass; great-great children, Addison and Callie Hagel; and sister, Patricia Conklin.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Nass; brothers, Robert Lewis and Donald Lewis.

Visitation will be held from 4-8, Sunday, November 27,2011, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington, with a second visitation held one hour prior to the mass at church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, (corner of Ela and Franklin St), Barrington.
