Joan Nelson

Joan was born October 7, 1938 in Chicago to Dorothy and John Giametti. She passed away April 13, 2016.
Joan was a loving mother who was profoundly devoted to and fiercely protective of her daughters. She was passionate about traveling, her friends, and being with her three best friends, her daughters, and lovely granddaughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Wagoner, Vickie (Mats) Ceder, and Allison Nelson; grandchildren, Olivia and Sydney Wagoner, Emily and Christina Ceder, and Claire Nelson; brother John (Tania) Giametti; and sister, Janet (late Jim) Samaras. Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 1pm, Sunday, April 17 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington.
