Joan Wright

Joan M. Wright (neeTiesling), 70, of Harvard, formerly of Barrington for 36 years. Born Aug 7, 1941 in Elgin to Sylvester and Rachel (nee Thayer), she passed away Sat. Dec 17, 2011 in Elkhorn, Wi.Joan was employed at Ace Hardware in Barrington for 17 years, and was well known in the community. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, antiquing, and collecting figurines. Joan cherished the time she spent with her family.She was the beloved wife of 50 years to Danforth Wright, loving mother of Bryan (Lisa) Wright, and Kenny Wright, dear grandmother of Jonathan and Chloe, fond sister of Joyce “Judy” (Late John) Greenwood, and Karen Tiesling.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond, and sister Janet Cameron.Visitation will be 10am until the service at 12pm Tuesday Dec. 20 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St, Barrington. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
