Jo Ann (Kuhl) Bederske

Jo Ann Bederske, 73, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1944 in Elgin, IL to Robert and Esther (nee Koeppen) Kuhl.

Jo Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending her children’s football, basketball, softball and baseball games. She also enjoyed knitting, crafts, gardening and collecting stamps. She was united in marriage to Ron Bederske on Sept 10 1966 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Barrington. They celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2012.

Jo Ann will be deeply missed by her children, Brian T. Bederske of Barrington and Katherine J. (Tom) Haughey of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Tom Haughey Jr. and Kaitlynn Haughey; parents, Raymond and Catherine Stirber; and by her furry companions, Indy and Nubs. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and Jayden also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Kuhl and Esther Stirber, sister Barbara Iverson, nephews Marty Halvorson and Bart Iverson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 9 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St., (Lake -Cook Rd.), Barrington. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
