Johan August Schodin, 75, of Cary, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 7, 2015, peacefully at home on the river.
He was born on December 11, 1939, to Conrad “Wally” and Mary Schodin in Manteno, Illinois.
Johan is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Terri (nee Parker); children, David (Beth) Schodin, Jeff (Julie) Schodin, and Keith (Karen) Schodin; grandchildren, Rebecca, Michael, Alex, Alivia, Melissa, and Bradley Schodin; sister, Theresa (Frank) Ruiz; and many nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4p.m. until the funeral service at 7p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
