John Bachmann

Born September 8, 1934 in Chicago, John passed away peacefully Sunday, May 5 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

John was CFO at Black Dot in Crystal Lake for 31 years, he retired in 1999.

John is survived by his children, Ellen (David) Burg, Paula (Walt) Muntzenberger, and Tom (Robyn) Bachmann; brothers, Jim (Gee Gee) and Bob (Nancy) Bachmann; brother-in-law Tony Viola; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Diane (nee Gilmore), parents, Harold and Lucille (nee Dearing) Bachmann, and sister Peggy Viola.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm Wednesday, May 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Thursday, May 9, with a visitation from 9am until the time of the mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake. Interment is private.
