John Dowling

John Austin Dowling, 68, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. He was born October 25, 1947 in Evanston to John Henry and Sammie (nee Wells) Dowling.

John is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Ross) Dowling, whom he married on May 1, 1993 in Honolulu, HI; his children, Jeni Dowling Sutter, Katie Dowling Pollock, Bri Dowling Karmalita (Christopher), Ed Healy and Mark Healy (Christine); his grandchildren, Austin Sutter, Kylie and Logann Pollock, Tyler Karmalita, and Alva and Frances Healy; and his siblings, Kim Schroeppel (Steve) and Geoff Dowling.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10am until 1pm, Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Davenport Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 419 Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
