Barrington, Illinois,Mass of Christian Burial for John U. Huber, 72 of Barrington, IL will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at St. Anne Church, corner of Franklin and Ela Streets., Barrington, IL. where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Sunday at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. John passed away, Aug. 19, 2010 at home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and many members of his extended family. He was born June 30 1938 in Bruno, Saskatchewan to the late John and Anna Huber. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He began his career at the Kalium potash mine, moving to Chicago in 1985, and retiring from the firm in 2001. John was an active member of his church, and his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 39 years Janice Huber (nee Chekay), sons Monte Huber and Devin Huber (Amy), daughter Kyla Marabella (Patrick), grandchildren, John, Nicholas and Elena, siblings Albert Huber (Annette), Magdalen Dagenais, Bernard Huber (Gail), Elizabeth Dauvin (Dennis), Margaret Polanik (Ted), Barry Dagenais (Marilyn), brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken Chekay, Joan Eberle (Edwin), Doug Chekay (Darlene) and numerous nieces and nephews.
