John Inkmann

John Paul Inkmann, age 57, of Barrington, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on January 14, 1964.

He was a graduate of Illinois State University and worked as a computer analyst at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois. He graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School, where he was a member of the XP Program.

Prior to COVID, John was an active member of the Barnstormers and flew remote controlled fixed wing airplanes and drones at their airfield on Fermilab grounds. He enjoyed long distance bicycling and spent a lot of time with his beloved yellow labs, Gus and Luke. John was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend and husband.

He is survived by his wife, Evan Inkmann, his loving mother, Irene Rose of Northlake and his five sisters: Kris (Nitzan) Peleg of Scandia, Minnesota, and their children Shaked (Adam) Azzam and Matan Peleg; Lee Inkmann of Eugene, Oregon, and her daughter Treyanna Wilson; Mary Ann (Mark) Kusper of Stickney, and their children April (Jon) Schweitzer, their daughter Meredith, and Analyn Kusper; Angela (Frank) Washelesky of Chicago, and their children Daniel Washelesky and March Washelesky; Lily (Tony) Garcia of Arlington Heights and their children Jessica (Danny) Eckert, Peyton and Brady Eckert (fiancé Carolyn Sherrick); his father in-law, Donald Firchow of Woodstock, Georgia and his sons: David Firchow of Hoffman Estates and Paul (Kelly) Firchow of Woodstock, Georgia and their children Brad and Jon Conner Firchow. John was preceded in death by nephew Andrew Kusper.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 4 PM until the memorial service at 7:30 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
