John H. Jensen, 88 of Algonquin entered eternal life Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Crystal Lake.
He was born Oct. 28, 1922 in Duluth, Mn to Marius and Naemi (nee Ruhnberg) Jensen.
John was the beloved husband for 60 years to the late Corinne (nee Erickson), loving father of Betty (Roy) Deans, dear grandfather of Christine (Jeremy) Krick , great-grandfather of Madelyn Krick, brother of Dagney Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his wife and sister Eleanor Jensen.
John served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1943 until 1946 and graduated from University of Minnesota in 1949. John loved to travel and camp with his wife and close friends, often to Europe, Florida, and South Carolina.
Funeral service will be Tuesday May 10 at 10:30 a.m.at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
