John Lohrmann,78, of Crystal Lake, passed away Sunday, May 22,2011, at Rosewood Care Center of Inverness. He was born April 18,1933, in Brookfield to the late Jacob and Barbara (nee Brockmann) Lohrmann. He married Marlene “Mickey” Keating on July 13, 1957.
He was a loving, husband, father, and brother, who served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was an excellent and recognized tool and die maker. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sherry Lohrmann of Crystal Lake and John (Julie) Lohrmann II of Chicago; and brother, Fritz (Zofie) Glaser of Brookfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Glaser.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, from 5-9 p.m., at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.
