John Mosolino

John “Jack” Mosolino, 75, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Crystal Lake.

He was born on June 18, 1936 to William and Esther Mosolino in Pottsville, PA.

Jack worked as a chemist and a salesman for Rohm & Hass and also for Morton Salt. He was a long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. One of Jack’s most memorable traits was his ability to engage in a conversation, crack a joke, or make a friend with anyone he met. Jack had a genuine smile and a personality that appealed to everyone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather whose main passion was being around family. He always attended every event for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren by being front and center, bursting with pride as their number one fan. Those who knew and loved him will always remember his kindness, sincerity, and sense of humor.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Jennie (nee Vaccaro); children, Michael (Nancy) Mosolino, Sam (Barb) Mosolino, and Mary Jo (Thomas) Kelley; grandchildren, Emily Mosolino, Michaela Mosolino, Stephen (Keri) Madura, Sam (Kristy) Mosolino, Tim (Kelly) Mosolino, Jamie (Ryan) Buck, Danielle, Katie, Claire, Jack and Mary Pat Kelley; great-grandchildren, Ryne, Reagan, Reese, Hunter, Kennedy, Addison, and Quinnlyn; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dale John Mosolino, great-granddaughter, Gabriella Rose Mosolino, brother, William Mosolino, parents, sister-in-law, Katie (John) Cimaroli and Lucille Termini.

Visitation will be held from 2-7p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake IL 60014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Crystal Lake. Interment will be held at Crystal Lake Memorial Park following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Rd, Barrington, IL 60010 or to a charity of your choice.
