John James Olas

John was born November 11, 1968 in Des Plaines, IL.  He passed away September 28, 2018.

John graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School and Southern Illinois University.  He had a passion for golf and enjoyed fly fishing, hunting (with his beloved dog Max), and was a Cubs fan.  John also enjoyed coaching his children’s youth sports teams.

John is survived by his children, Michael and Gabriella “Ella” Olas, and their mother Anna Olas; father, Richard “Dick” Olas; siblings, Kelly (Tom) Holcombe, Gregory (Heather) Olas, and Christopher Olas; nieces and nephews, Lindsay and Dana Holcombe, and Sophie and Miles Olas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Jane Olas; and maternal grandparents, Steve and Ruth Yadloski.

Visitation will be 3pm until 8pm with a prayer service at 7pm, Tuesday, October 2 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.  Interment is private.
