John F. Rice

John F. Rice, 77, of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021. He was born on January 24, 1944 in Atlanta, GA to the late John W. and Edytha (nee Bell) Rice.

As a young man, John proudly served in the United States Navy. He went on to work for the telephone industry for many years until his retirement. John had a passion for computers and HAM radio and was a member of The Suburban UHF Amateur Repeater Society (SHUFARS) and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES).

John will be deeply missed his loving wife, Patricia (nee Green); sisters-in-law, Kathleen (John) Hynds and Helen Green; brother-in-law, Ronald (Susan) Green; nieces, Heather (Thomas) Truffer, Jennifer (Brigg) Barnass and Danielle (Brian) Lewis; great-nephews and niece, Calvin, Elise and William.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his brother, Thomas Rice and brother-in-law, James Green.

Services and interment for John were private.
