John Sachtschale

John Sachtschale, 48 of North Aurora
Born May 22, 1965, passed away August 21, 2013 in Chicago, surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Monday August 26 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30am until the time of the mass. Burial will be private.

John was a graduate of Prospect High School where he was Drum Major for two years, leading the band to State Grand Championship. He loved music, good Italian food, peanut butter cups, and home baked brownies and cookies.

John was an industrial engineer at Electro-Motive Diesel in LaGrange, and was formerly employed at Fermilab for 26 years. He had a lifelong passion for trains and the railroad.

John is survived by his parents Richard and Kathleen Sachtschale, , brother Tim (Johnna) Sachtschale, sisters; Madonna (Paul) Houser, and Julie (David) Esau, sister in law Ellen Sachtschale, and many nieces, nephew, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Richard J. Sachtschale.
