John E. Taylor, age 75 of Woodstock, IL passed away peacefully November 30, 2014 in Streamwood.
He was born May 2, 1939 in Evanston to Albert and Agnes Taylor.
John loved being outdoors doing everything from mowing the lawn, raking leaves or walking his dog. Besides spending time with his family, his biggest passion was sailing and would love to get out on the water at any chance he could.
John was the beloved husband of 51 years to Patricia Taylor (nee Wickwire); loving father to Phil (Sharmila) Taylor, Amy (Lee) Kammin, and Scott (Sarah) Taylor; cherished grandfather to Alex and Zach Kammin, Kai Naik, and Kaitlyn Taylor; devoted uncle to Jonathan Hobein and dear brother to Peggy. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Agnes Taylor, two sisters and two brothers.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1p.m., Saturday, December 6 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook), Barrington.
