John James Vesely, 80, of Trout Valley and formerly of Berwyn, peacefully passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at JourneyCare hospice in Barrington.
Born on February 11, 1933 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (nee Bernard) Vesely.
John served in the U.S. Army; he was a plasterer for 40 years, a member of the Union Local No. 5.
John enjoyed fishing in his ponds, model airplane building, building puzzles, and walking his dog Oliver. An avid Chicago White Sox fan throughout his life, he later especially enjoyed watching his grandsons’ little league games.
In addition to his beloved wife, Christine (nee Rog), John is survived by his cherished children, Michael Vesely, Laura (Skip) Nemecek, John (Judy) Vesely, David Vesely, Edward (Jenny) Synek, Matthew (Lisa) Synek, and Andrew Synek; ten loving grandchildren; and dear sister, Arlene Tymick.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy (nee Mulhern) and his parents.
Visitation will be 4-8pm, Thursday, May 9 with a service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Route 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be private at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary.
