Jack Wyrobek,78, of Lake in the Hills, died Sunday, July 31,2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family.He was born October 8,1932, in Chicago to the late Peter and Lottie (nee Sikorski) Wyrobek.He married Dorothy Ochs on September 29,1956, in Chicago.John enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, and was a Eucharistic minister at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where he assisted in many different ways.John was a meat cutter for over 35 years.Prior to his retirement, he worked as a warehouse manager at General Assembly in Cary.In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Sandy (Kevin) Lesniewski of Lake in the Hills, Kim Eurley of Munster, Indiana, and Sherry (Art) Martin of Des Plaines; grandchildren, John (Becky) Lesniewski of Huntley and Sarah Lesniewski of Lake in the Hills; brothers, Jerry (Helene) Wyrobek of Alsip and Pete Wyrobek of Harvey; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Eurley; brothers, Henry, Frank, and Edward Wyrobek; and sisters, Virginia Mendrala and Betty Sotak.The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 4, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1023 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. Father John Sotak, will celebrate the Mass. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105,""www.stjude.org"", or 800-805-5856.
