John R. Yanckowitz, 68, of McHenry and formerly of Bellwood, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Pepper Family Hospice in Barrington.
Born November 10, 1943 in Melrose Park, he was the son of the late John and Anne (nee Marek) Yanckowitz.
John is survived by his wife, Precy, whom he married May 11, 2006 in Woodstock; sisters, Joanne (Bob) Mech and Beverly Vegr; brothers, Ron and Thomas (Minda) Yanckowitz; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law James Vegr, and sister-in-law Theresa Yanckowitz.
Entombment will be private at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside.
