Jonathan R. Hansen

Jonathan R. Hansen, 55, of Vernon Hills, passed away peacefully at Lutheran General, surrounded by his family, on January 8, 2021. He was born on June 22, 1965 in Elgin, IL to Russell and Judy Hansen.

Jon enjoyed coaching his children in soccer, softball and baseball.  He was very proud of their accomplishments on the field, academically and in dance. Jon loved the game of golf and took every opportunity to hit the greens with friends, family and clients. Jon taught Jake the game of chess and they loved to play together. He was a proud alum of Iowa University and worked for Basco in sales for over 25 years.

Jon will be missed by his children, Nicole, Rachel, Megan and Jake; his siblings, Bryan (Laura) Hansen and Jodi (Lee) Maurer, his mother Judy, and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Hansen, and grandparents.

Services and interment for Jon will be private due to Covid. A live stream of the service via Zoom will be available on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11 am.
