Jose Esquivel

Jose Antero Esquivel Alvarez, 15, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

He was born October 20, 1998. He attended Crystal Lake Central High School, where he was a member of the Cross Country Running team. Loved by all his family and friends,Jose always had a smile on his face and put a smile on the faces of everyone he came into contact with. With only love in his heart, he gave off an aura of warmth and kindness that attracted people. He was a strong individual with an exceptionally strong will and never gave up on his goals and ambitions.

Jose was an individual who always sought improvement both physically and mentality. He had the motto that the sky isn't the limit. He always went above and beyond all challenges and tasks that came before him to obtain the level of greatness that he achieved. Jose lived everyday to the fullest and this made him an outstanding person to be around. Our golden child touched the hearts and minds of everyone, and we will never forget that. He will always be smiling above just like the sun in the sky on all of us.

Jose is survived by his parents Jose and Rosalba (Alvarez) Esquivel of Crystal Lake; and his brothers Miguel Angel, 20; Jorge Luis, 19 and Pedro Daniel, 12.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176) Crystal Lake, IL 60014. There will be a brief visitation the following morning, Tuesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. until the time of prayers at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will be held at Crystal Lake Union Cemetery.

A fund has been established at Home State Bank to help with the funeral cost. Memorials may be made to the Home State Bank, Attn: Jose Esquivel Memorial Fund, 40 Grant St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
