Visitation for Joseph Salvatore Battaglia, age 87, of Barrington will be held on Sunday April 11, 2010, from 12-5pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake Cook Road), Barrington. His funeral services will be held on Monday (time pending) at the funeral home. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Born November 28, 1922, in Chicago, he passed away April 9, 2010, in Barrington. Joe was an Auto Mechanic for over 40 years. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the Marine Corps. He is survived by his loving children Dennis (Kathleen), Battaglia, Linda (Neil) Nermon, Donna (Mark) Johnson, Jeffrey (Patricia) Battaglia, and Gregory Battaglia; cherished grandchildren Christopher (Michelle) Battaglia, Jennifer (Michael) Walsh, Jessica, Lauren, and Melanie Battaglia, Matthew and Ryan Johnson; adored great grandchildren Michael, Sydney, Nicole, and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores Jean Battaglia, parents Salvatore and Mary Battaglia, and siblings Josephine, Sam, Frank, Anthony, Marie, Agnes , and Beatrice.
