Joseph Edward Luecke

Joseph Edward “Joe” Luecke, 95, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022 at his home. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce (nee Lynch), and five loving daughters, Susan Luecke, Sharon Yoder, Carol (Robert) Smearman, Barbara (Fred) Biasiello and JoAnn (Terence) Rogers. In addition, he is survived by fifteen cherished grandchildren and two precious great-grandsons.

Joe was born on February 26, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the US Army from June 1945 to February 1947. Upon his return, he met and married his wife of 71 years, Joyce. He attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Joe began his 40 year career with the Kemper organization in 1951; culminating in roles of president, CEO and chairman of Kemper National Insurance Companies and Kemper Corporation.

Joe was interred at Evergreen Cemetery following a memorial mass at Saint Anne Catholic Church.
