Joseph W. Truty

Joseph W. Truty, of Mt. Prospect, passed away February 19, 2022 in Lake Zurich.  He was born July 22, 1936 in Chicago to Joseph and Helen Truty.

Joseph was a mail carrier for 37 years, he began in Chicago and retired from Niles.  He loved to travel; his dog companions; and spending time with his family.

Joseph is survived by his daughters, Catherine (Keith) Akins, and Suzanne (William) Boll; grandchildren, Brian (fiance,Vanessa), and Amanda; brother, Thomas (Ingrid) Truty; sister, Helen Olson; and many loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and spouses, Joan (nee Cichon), and Adeline (nee Kozak).

Visitation will be 1pm until the funeral service at 2pm, Sunday February 27th at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.  Burial will be private at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles on Monday, February 28th.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
